Phulkari and Damaan with Shirt is the traditional costumes of women from Punjab and Haryana. The traditional phiran is a loose upper garment with wide sleeves, made of either wool or jamewar. Phiran is the traditional costumes for both males and females in Kashmir and Himachal region of India. Muga Silk, PatEri silk and KesaRaw silk are different type of mekhela chadar. The bottom portion is called mekhela and top portion is called chador. Mekhela chador is a traditional Assamese dresses draped around the body by women. Traditional Clothing in India depends on the different ethnicity and region, female clothing has evolved from simple to western but festive occasions and ritual concerned still follow by traditional costumes of Indian women.
