Identifies the internal and partners’ training needs based on an exhaustive evaluation on their knowledge and skills.Evaluates the existing training programmes within MDM and capitalises the relevant documentations required for the Malaysia strategy.As an expert, to participate in the definition of the country strategy led by the Director. To directly or indirectly build the capacity/knowledge of partners in SRH, SGBV and MHPSS. To ensure the quality and relevance of health activities, practices and data. To design, plan, implement, adapt and monitor the training component to MDM’s health partners in the field. The position is opened to Malaysian (under Malaysian contract) or those who has the rights to work in Malaysia (under French contract). The position will be based in Kuala Lumpur, with travels to Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu. MDM Consulting Services is looking for an Expert Trainer who has the experiences in developing and facilitating training on SRHR, MHPSS and GBV, particularly in the context of refugees and asylum seekers, children and adolescents and experiences working with NGOs and CBOs in capacity building. Through MDM Consulting Services in Malaysia, Medecins du Monde will contribute to provision of technical and capacity building support on SRHR, MHPSS, GBV to local implementing partners. Through this initial assessment, Medecins du Monde has found that a cross-sectoral approach on sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) is key to provide support to refugees and migrants in Malaysia. The fact findings confirmed the added value for Medecins du Monde to intervene through local partnerships with Malaysian organisations present in the field. Therefore, an exploratory mission has been conducted in Malaysia in March 2020 by a team composed of MdM advisors and key Malaysian stakeholders.
